In France, we don’t have oil, but we have bytes! According to a study by the speedtest speed measurement service, France has one of the best internet flow rates in the world. According to Speedtest, France is in 3rd place behind Singapore and Hong Kong.
Better still, not happy to truster a podium from the best connected countries, France places one of its cities in first place in the world ranking by city. And it is, for once, not Paris who wins but … Lyon!
Lyon, world champion thanks to a well -tied national plan
In this ranking, and with a median descending speed of 347.2 Mb/s, the capital of Gaul is ahead of Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), Valparaiso (Chile), Beijing (China) and Shanghai (China). The second French city, Paris, ranks 23rd in the ranking, between Copenhagen (Denmark) and Taipei (Taïwan).
To put it simply, this is the speed at which the Internet flow arrives on your devices: the higher it is, the less it is eating.
