A man arrested after pointing a weapon on a stranger in Lévis

An individual known to the police was arrested after threatening another man twice during an altercation in front of a Lévis park on Wednesday.

The event started when a conflict broke out around 8 p.m. between two people who did not know each other, opposite the Terrace du Chevalier-de Lévis, on rue William-Tremblay.

After a few aggressive verbal exchanges, the suspect would have pretended to hit the other individual with his car.

“He would have spent a second time in front of the same individual shortly after, this time by pointing a weapon on him,” explains Véronique Blouin, spokesperson for the police service in the city of Lévis (SPVL).

The police body then opened an investigation, but no one had been apprehended at that time.

On Thursday afternoon, the SPVL received several calls for a car dangerously in the streets of a residential area.

“The vehicle corresponded in every way to the one that had been described to us the day before,” said Mr.me Blouin.

Several accusations

The 47 -year -old man who remains in Lévis was first arrested for dangerous driving and was questioned by the investigators. Meanwhile, the authorities have been able to search his vehicle, where they found a pelps weapon.

Recall that all kinds of firearms, whether fake or not, can be considered as real weapons if they are used to commit a crime.

The forties who owns judicial history must appear on Friday afternoon at the Quebec courthouse.

He should face accusations of dangerous conduct, possession of a weapon in a dangerous design, robbery of firearm, harassment and armed assault.

Fortunately, the event made no one injured.
