(Montreal) A man in sixties died following a collision on Friday on Highway 50, in Gatineau.
The emergency services were called upon to go almost kilometer 138 from highway 50 to noon Friday, concerning a collision involving two vehicles.
“According to the initial information we have, the driver of the vehicle circulating in the west direction would have lost control of his vehicle before deviating from his track to cross the landfill, and finally colliding with a vehicle circulating in the opposite direction,” said Camille Savoie, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The death of the first driver, the sixty -something, was found in the hospital.
The driver of the second vehicle, which was circulating in the direction is, suffered injuries that do not put his life in danger.
A reconstructionist of the SQ went to the scene to analyze the scene and determine the circumstances of this event.
This portion of the highway was reopened to traffic at the start of the evening on Friday.
