The Sûreté du Québec arrested David Bouchard-Michel, Wednesday evening in Quebec, in connection with acts of violence that occurred on July 21 in Maliotenam, near Sept-Îles.
The 40 -year -old rapper, also known by his artist name Mizery, briefly appeared at the Quebec courthouse on Thursday. He faces a total of seven accusations with three other individuals, according to the act of denunciation consulted by the newspaper.
The group would have engaged in assault with the use of a weapon that inflicted bodily injury on a victim.
Accusations of sequestration, wearing of weapons in a dangerous design, possession of a prohibited firearm or restricted authorization, robbery of firearm and criminal harassment complete this portrait.
March in March
However, Bouchard-Michel had probably just recovered his freedom a short time ago.
In mid-March, the court had indeed imposed on him a 26-month detention sentence for drug trafficking offenses, break-in and death threats.
However, due to the pre -trial detention that he had already served, he only had four months and 21 days left behind bars, which was to theoretically brought him to a release in early August.
In this previous file, seized texts then demonstrated that Bouchard-Michel organized the sale of “around 30 grams of cocaine” and “a few dozen metamumphetic tablets”.
He also admitted that he had threatened a woman while he was free under conditions at the beginning of 2024. He had taken off, before being found by the British Columbia RCMP.
Alongside “Pic”
“Mizery” attracted looks at him for his bonds with Dave “Pic” Turmel, the young Caïd who would be at the head of the Blood Family Mafia (BFM), in the wake of the narcotics war which has raged in several regions.
Members of the BFM group appeared in the video of its song “Granada” published five years ago and which has accumulated some 420,000 views to date.
Among other things, you can see Turmel “Pic”, which proudly carries gold chains forming the letters “BFM”, as well as its alleged Roobens right arm.
Bouchard-Michel remained detained after his appearance on Thursday. The file was postponed to Friday, so that it could be heard at the Palais de Justice in Sept-Îles.
As for Turmel, he has been imprisoned in Italy since his highly publicized arrest last March, after a 610 -day run. This summer, the newspaper reported that its extradition to Quebec could take longer than anticipated the Quebec authorities.
