During the morning, the police carried out a search in a private residence in Saint-Raymond, then in another in Saint-Léonard-de-Portneuf, on the main street.
In the second place, dynamite sticks were discovered.
A large security perimeter has been erected around the scene due to the risk associated with dynamite. “This is not something that we often understand, that’s for sure,” says Audrey-Anne Bilodeau, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
Several specialized teams were asked during the operation. Technicians in explosives, master chiers and the tactical intervention group (GTI) went to the scene.
In total, around thirty police officers participated in the seizure.
The searches also allowed the arrest of a 37 -year -old man for possession of explosives. Other arrests could be added in the file.
According to information from Soleil, About fifteen sticks of dynamite have been discovered.
An organization
This operation stems from an investigation opened in February 2025. It aims for an organization which hid weapons and drugs for the criminal group Blood Family Mafia, according to Audrey-Anne Bilodeau.
In March and May, the project had given rise to several searches, during which firearms and drugs had been seized in various covers in Saint-Basile and Lévis.
“It is a good investigation that is coming to an end,” said Audrey-Anne-Bilodeau, in an interview with The sun.
The Blood Family Mafia group continues to be involved in a war against the Hells Angels around the control of the drug market in eastern Quebec.
Since the start of the year, several members of the group have been arrested by the authorities, including the Turmel Dave “Pic” leader in Italy.
