During the night from Thursday to Friday, two out-of-service soldiers were violently attacked in downtown Clermont-Ferrand. Following this, Corporal-Chief Kévin Amodru, 28, died of his injuries with a stab on Friday, around 3:30 a.m., reports the mountain. The second soldier, 23, remains hospitalized.
Stomme and back stabs
Two individuals, aged 21 and 20, were arrested in the wake of the facts. They presented a high alcohol level when they arrest, according to Franceinfo. One of them is suspected of having wore the stabs, especially in the belly and at the level of the back, on the two men in civilian outfit. The altercation between the four men occurred near a nightclub.
Nine years of service for France
His regiment, to which Kévin Amodru belonged, paid tribute on social networks to the one who “served France honorably for more than nine years, first by committing to the 54th artillery regiment then within the 92nd infantry regiment”. The Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu has shared his “emotional thoughts and condolences for his family, his comrades of the 92nd RI present and his brothers in arms”.
