A suspect arrested for the murder of a Montreal rapper in Ontario, two suspects offshore

A young Montrealer is accused of the premeditated murder in the suburbs of Toronto of a rapper who would have links with the street gangs here, while the investigators are under the kits of two other suspects.

Kashif Jamal Bentley-Jean, known as Lil Bentley, had been shot in the parking of a shopping center in North York last month.

The 28 -year -old victim was discovered outside the entrance 3, where several shots had been fired around 6 a.m., said local authorities. Bentley-Jean would have been associated with the northeast gang zone 43 in Montreal, it was reported.

Since then, the investigation has identified three suspects, and pancanadian arrests for first degree murder had been issued to them.

On Monday, Bradley Lucate-Nicolas, a 20-year-old Montrealer, pretended to be handcuffs in Laval. Around 6 p.m., he was a passenger of a vehicle in the Chomedey district, when the police carried out an interception due to an offense in the road safety code.

They then wanted to stop the suspect, fearing that he was armed. Lucate-Nicolas would have tried to flee. However, he was quickly caught up and mastered by the agents.

A loaded and chambered handgun would have been found in its underwear. He would also have had in his possession of false identity cards.

Through their research, the police discovered that the twenty -year -old was suspected of homicide.

Bradley Lucate-Nicolas appeared at the Laval courthouse to deal with various accusations related to this new event, but will have to go to court in Ontario to respond to the accusation of murder.

The police are also looking for Bryan Emmanuel Fuentes Gramajo, 23, from Longueuil and Jimmy Prudent, 28, from Montreal.

They considered “armed and dangerous”.
