Who said it was necessary to ruin yourself to wear a beautiful mechanical watch on the wrist? The Japanese ORIENT watchmaker has made a positioning of it, with quality timepieces offered only a few hundred euros.
On the occasion of the 75 years of the Orient brand but also peanuts, the famous comic strips imagined by Charles. Mr. Schultz for the American press, the Japanese watchmaker unveils four models with Snoopy on his dial this summer. Charlie Brown’s famous dog is sometimes accompanied by Woodstock, the bird that takes the place of inseparable companion. In three quarters of a century of existence, peanuts will have experienced many watchmaking incarnations, and variations in products of all kinds until recently an ephemeral pop-up store entirely dedicated to Snoopy, created with the Parisian Boutique Thank you.
This time, it is the Japanese watches Orient that put it in the spotlight, especially with a deliciously vintage bambino 38 mm in diameter, cut for all wrists. But also for all portfolios, because offered at only € 399. In white or cream version, Snoopy is resting here not on the roof of his niche, as usual, but at 6 o’clock on the dial, lying on the mention “Water resistant” holding a hammock. This 38 mm bambino with bombed glass combines date at 3 a.m. and dauphine needles. It beats an automatic caliber F6724 “Made in Japan” offering a 40 -hour power reserve, visible through the transparent background.
