From 11 to 13 August, the Lyonnais Maxime Jerez will cross France by bicycle in homage to its granny carried away by cancer. He will stop in Tassin-la-Demi-Lune this Monday, August 11 to exchange with the inhabitants.
Maxime Jerez at 20 years old, he is Lyonnais, and gave himself the challenge of crossing France by bicycle in less than three days. From Palavas-les-Flots, the young man will set off this Monday, August 11 for a scheduled arrival on Wednesday August 13 in Calais. On board his two-wheelers, he will travel 1,100 km in tribute to his grandmother who disappeared two years ago.
The objective of this initiative: to raise a maximum of funds for the association “The cancer league”illness having won her grandmother. “Soon two years ago, I lost my grandmother following cancer. My family raised funds during her funeral for this association. For my side upset by this event I did not have the courage to participate. Today I want to do my share of participation in my own way”, explains Maxime. In total, five euros will be donated to the association each kilometer traveled by Lyonnais
In parallel, an online kitty in favor of cancer research is open until November 11. 3,565 euros have already been donated to the association.
During the first day of his journey, Maxime will stop at the house of the families of Tassin-la-Demi-Lune to exchange with those who wish. “I should spend between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. depending on the weather and mechanical problems”, Share the Lyonnais.
