“I was crying all day”

Today, Thomas Tumler lives in Lachen, in the canton of Schwyz. He feels good and wants to stay there. During the summer, he trained almost daily in a weight room in Einsiedeln. So that, according to his own saying, he has never been so in shape on the physical level. And mentally? The Germanic has found some stability. “I have never had so many friends,” he admitted, grateful.

Sportingly, the winter of 2024/2025 marked a turning point in the career of Thomas Tumler since he obtained his best results. But why did he have to wait until he was 35 to break his glass ceiling? “Perhaps I had to learn that I should not be the fastest in training, but in the race.”

“I always want to start a family”

One thing is certain: its next goals are already set with the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina as well as the 2027 World Championships in Crans-Montana. “I don’t just want to participate.
