Amphenol is preparing to conclude an agreement of $ 10 billion to buy the Connectivity and Cables of Commscope activity, according to WSJ

The American group Amphenol, based in Connecticut, would be about to finalize the acquisition of the Commscope Holding connectivity and cables, specialist in communication network infrastructure, for an amount of around 10 billion dollars, including debt, reports the Wall Street Journal on Sunday, citing sources close to the file.

According to the daily, the transaction could be concluded on Monday, subject to the absence of last minute obstacles.

Last May, Bloomberg News indicated that Commscope, whose headquarters are in North Carolina, envisaged the sale of its division of broadband and cables, the largest in the group in terms of turnover and operating profit.

The Commscope wireless network provides infrastructure for mobile networks, while its antenna systems unit offers services intended for cellular infrastructure in public, campuses and businesses.

Amphenol, also based in Connecticut, had already concluded an agreement last year to acquire the activities of external wireless networks and distributed antenna systems of Commscope for 2.1 billion dollars in cash.

Reuters could not immediately verify this information. Amphenol and Commscope Holding did not immediately respond to Reuters’ requests.
