The union which represents the 10,000 Air Canada on -board agents announces that an agreement in principle has been concluded with the employers’ part, so that the strike of its members ends.

According to the Air Canada component of the Canadian Public Service Union, the negotiations that resumed on Monday evening with a mediator allowed both parties to conclude an agreement shortly after 4 am on Tuesday morning.

In his message published on social networks, the union has not provided details on the content of the agreement in principle, which he will submit to his members during virtual meetings.

The union has added that it must indicate to its members that they are “required to fully cooperate with the resumption of operations” from Air Canada.

The conclusion of this agreement in principle – and the announcement of the end of the strike – will be welcomed with relief by the many travelers who have seen their plans are upset since the start of the work stoppage on Saturday.

On Monday, the cancellation of Air Canada and Red Air Canada flights had been extended until 4 p.m. on Tuesday. The airline had not reacted to the announcement of the union when publishing.
