Parents in the Lairet sector in Quebec are concerned about the presence of an alleged prowler near a park, which would have recently approached children by holding the intimate parts.
“I will no longer let my son go to the park alone for the moment,” said Claudy Beassoum, resident of the district of the district La Cité-Limilou and mother of a 12-year-old boy.
The latter told the Journal Having seen this man between “three and five times” in the past few weeks, near the Saint-Odile primary school park.
On a recovery, he approached him by manipulating his private parts over his pants, he says.
“He was on the sidewalk and when he saw me he started touching the penis. I was really afraid, I thought he was going to follow me and I pretended to be someone, ”says the boy, who immediately returned home to denounce him to his mother.
Two other parents in the district questioned by The newspapersaid similar stories recently experienced by their children in this same park.
“My 12 year old boy told me about this man […] He followed my son and his sisters last weekend and told me that he also already followed one of his friends when he had his hand in the pants, “said the father, Frédérick Martel.
A mother, who prefers not to be identified, also says she is “very worried” about the situation.
While going to the park with a friend last Saturday morning, his nine-year-old boy was “very afraid”, when the man approached him, rubbing the private parts over his pants, she says.
More patrols
“He returned to us in panic, he was crying […] », Specifies Mother, which remains at a street in the park. In particular, she wants police patrols to be done regularly in the sector.
The man describes as “elderly at least in sixties”, however, did not address children, we are told.
Complaints
The events were reported to the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) by at least two parents.
“The file was submitted for investigation,” confirms the spokesperson of the SPVQ, William Robitaille. If it is apprehended, man could be accused of indecent action, specifies the SPVQ.
