“Jura celebrations” is the name of the window offered by Antonio Gallucci on Instagram to event organizers in our region. He created this account in May 2022 following the lifting of restrictions linked to the health crisis. Its objective is to post publications every week to highlight the different festivities that take place in the region for free, ranging from simple theme evenings in bars, village celebrations or larger events. “With friends, we wondered each time when the holidays took place. We were going to stroll a little by chance on weekends to find them. I realized that there was no way to find all the dates somewhere. The idea of this page is to create a guide for all the festive events of the canton of the Jura, ”says the Cornol resident.
With the growing number of events in our region, it is not an easy task of knowing everything that is going on. However, information arrives fairly quickly in Antonio Gallucci. “Establishments or organizers send me posters on Instagram. Then my colleague puts them and publishes them in Story. These are fast stories. This targets interested people, ”he explains. Do not panic for those who did not yet know this tip, since the Jurassian claims that he regularly subscribes to new events on social networks to make himself known. One of the specialties set up by the young man is the jurassian village holiday calendar. To do this, he approaches different youth groups and municipalities each year to find out the exact dates. The work is therefore substantial. This is why he joined a friend to help him in his task.
This approach seems to have attracted part of the population since nearly 5,800 people have subscribed to their account. “When I started with this page, I wanted to put it in private the first month and I was wrong. On the first day, there have already been 300 subscribers in one evening, so I chose to leave it in public, ”smiles Antonio Gallucci.
