When we think of the world of drones, the first name that happens to us in mind is necessarily DJI and if the Chinese manufacturer are preparing a few announcements in the coming days, today, we learn the arrival of a brand new actor in the world of drones. This new actor is called Antigravity and he leaves the Insta360 incubation program.
We know Insta360 for its action cameras but more particularly for its 360 cameras and we are sure that you have made the link with Antigravity. The new brand is already good at the fact that the drone market is ultra dominated by DJI and many have stopped costs on the general public market such as the French manufacturer Parrot for example. And because the Grand-Public market is ultra dominated by a single actor and it is well bottled, Antigravity wishes to bring a real plus in the world of drones and will soon offer a whole new category, namely a 360 drone for the Grand-Public market and therefore with a weight below 249G, while offering 8K, which is done in terms of 360 cameras.
“Today, most drones are tools. With Antigravity, we are aiming above,” said BC Nie, marketing manager at Antigravity. “While others compete on technical specifications, we have changed the game, reinventing what a drone should be able to do. The result is a product that arouses real emotions and offers each experiences such as freedom, creativity and discovery.”
To do so, the philosophy of Antigravity is simple, to offer a concept of immersive flight at 360 degrees. Also Antigravity wishes to offer a happy medium between drone management and 360-degree videography, both easy and accessible for the Grand-Public. The ultimate goal is therefore to allow users to be able to do more without being necessarily ace of drone steering, all by being as intuitive as possible.
After years of developing, Antigravity is finally ready and it is aware of August 2025 that their first product will be announced. According to the new drone manufacturer, technologies are finally aligned for a commercial launch. Their first drone is ready to revolutionize the whole industry according to the brand’s saying, thanks to several world leaders in the design of drones which allow pilots to experiment and capture in a way that was not possible before.
