Anyway, here are the three announcements :
- The telephoto sensor would go from a 5x optical zoom to an 8x zoom. According to Macrumors, “the objective could apparently move, which would allow a continuous optical zoom at different focal distances”.
- A new button would be added to the chassis of the iPhone. And more specifically on the top of the phone. This would allow access to the camera settings, and would be used in addition to the new “Camera Control” button on the iPhone 16.
- Finally, the iPhone 17 Pro would host a “pro” photo applicationoffering more settings. As already properly advanced applications, such as Kino or Halid. According to the Leaker, Apple would adapt its “Final Cut Camera” application, rather than developing a whole new application.
Apple will unveil the iPhone 17 (and its variations, including the iPhone 17 Pro and l’iPhone 17 Air) Next September. Rumors should therefore be linked in the coming weeks. Until then, it is difficult to disentangle the true from the false. Even if, a new “pro” application and an 8x zoom are Two rumors more credible than an additional buttonwhich would overload the chassis of the iPhone which already hosts volume buttons, the “Power” button, an “Action” button, and the famous “Camera Control” button which, to tell the truth, is ultimately quite useless.
