The face of the future school center of Martigny finally revealed
Among the 43 proposals, the jury chose a project combining integration and sustainability. All applications will be exposed publicly for ten days.
The city of Martigny will unveil on Thursday August 28 at 5:30 p.m. the winning project of the architecture competition for the future school center of Bâtiaz, as it announced in a press release published on August 14, 2025. The public is invited to the opening of the exhibition which will be held at Halle 110, rue des Finettes 110.
The competition jury, which met on June 11 and 13, selected the winning project from 43 proposals. The choice fell on a project which is distinguished by its quality of integration into the site, its functional clarity, its architectural coherence and its sustainable vision, specifies the town.
Opening and exhibition program
The opening will include an official part with the interventions of the president of the city of Martigny, the president of the jury and the winner of the competition. A friendly moment around a glass will follow the presentations.
The exhibition presenting all 43 projects submitted will remain open to the public until Sunday, September 7, 2025. Visitors will be able to discover the different proposals every day from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., including weekends. A on -site presence is planned to support the public during visits.
The future Bâtiaz school center represents a major project for the town. The infrastructure planned include a primary school, a gym and a reception unit for schoolchildren (UAPE). According to the announced calendar, these new facilities should accommodate students by 2028-2029. This architecture competition is a major step in the realization of this project which will meet the needs in terms of school infrastructure in the Bâtiaz district.
