A 32-year-old man was stabbed in the night from Monday to Tuesday in the district of Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, in Montreal.
The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) was called upon to intervene around 1:45 am for a conflict that occurred on rue de Cadillac, between rue Hochelaga and avenue Pierre-de Coubertin.
The police dispatched on the spot located the victim injured in the upper body by a sharp object.
“The victim was aware and breathed when the emergency services arrived,” said SPVM spokesperson Jeanne Drouin.
The man was transported to the hospital center, where we are not afraid for his life.
Two individuals, a 34 -year -old man and a 32 -year -old woman, were arrested by the police not far from the intersection where the victim was found, at the corner of the Hochelaga and Dickson streets.
The suspects will be met by the investigators to determine if they are involved in this armed assault.
According to initial information, the three individuals know each other, but the exact link between them remains to be determined.
A perimeter has been erected to analyze the scene.
