After the gold medals of Audrey Werro on 800 m and Andri Huber in Décathlon at the European M23 championships in Bergen in Norway, Switzerland was adorned with money on Sunday. This thanks to the women’s 4×100 relay.

The Vaudois quartet composed of Chloé Rabac, Emma Van Camp, Iris Caligiuri and Soraya Becerra broke her own Swiss record M23 by cutting the line in 43”39, 0’08 better than what they had succeeded in series.
They initially thought they were winning bronze but the Polish relay, which finished second, was disqualified. Victory returned to Great Britain in 42”92.
It went less well among the gentlemen. Fifth best time in the series, the Ramón Roppel Quartet, Joël Csontos, Mathieu Chèvre and Jonathan Gou Gomez did not rallied the arrival due to a last passage of a failed witness. France won.
Also present in the final, the 4×400 women’s relay took 7th place in 3’31”38. Note the right 5th place of Liana Trümpi in heptathlon. With 5953 points, the Glardaise finished 230 points from the podium.
Switzerland therefore completes these M23 Europeans with three medals on the clock, two in gold and one in silver.
