A 30-year-old man was the victim of an attempted murder on Monday evening in a park in the Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Expension district in Montreal.
Agents of the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) heard detonations from the Ovila-Légaré Park, located on Boulevard Pie-IX near the 47th rue.
When they arrived at the scene, they located the injured victim at the top and lower body by projectiles of firearm, said SPVM spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant.
The 30 -year -old was quickly transported to a conscious state in the hospital center and, in latest news, doctors are not afraid for his life.
According to information obtained from witnesses, it is a conflict that degenerated between the victim and the suspect who, after the shots, would have fled on foot before the arrival of the police.
Savers were found on the ground by the police who did not make any arrest in the file, said the Brabant agent.
Investigators assisted by legal identity technicians were dispatched to the scene to analyze the scene and try to shed light on this attempted murder.
The canine squad was also used to help in search of evidence, it was added.
