Belgium 2025, the weekend program FIA F2 and FIA F3

Rafael Camara and Richard Verschoor still occupy the heads of the FIA F3 and FIA F2 rankings. There are only 3 meetings in FIA F3 before the coronation.

Back on the 2024 edition

Unsurprisingly, the rain was invited during the 2024 meeting. Callum neighbor had the best time of qualifying, ahead of Alex Dunne and Leonardo Fornaroli. During the Sprint FIA F3 race, Dino Beganovic starts from the first position ahead of Gabriele Mini. Certain portions of the track are wet but the entire tray starts in slick tires. Gabriele Mini takes orders from the starting race. The safety car comes in the first round. At the recovery, the Italian pilot keeps his head but Dino Beganovic manages to double him before the Combes. He keeps his head until arrival.

Callum Voisin therefore starts from the pole position of the main race. On a slightly damp track, he keeps his head at the start, ahead of Sebastian Montoya and Leonardo Fornaroli. The safety car comes in the 2nd round of the race. No change in mind recovering and until arrival. Callum Voisin won the main race ahead of Sebastian Montoya and Leonardo Fornaroli.

In FIA F2, Paul Aron creates the best time of qualifying and will set off from pole position during the main race. The Sprint race, which was to take place after the third session of the F1 free tests, was postponed. The departure is finally given at the end of the afternoon. Zak O’Sullivan starts from the first position ahead of Dennis Hauger. The pilots set off on a soaked track, so they are cautious there is no change for the first three of the grid at the start. The VSC is deployed since the Pepe Marti single -seater was stopped on the track, before the race management chooses to take out the safety car. The red flag is presented during the 7th round. The race does not resume. Zak O’Sullivan won ahead of Dennis Hauger and Richard Verschoor.

During the main race, Paul Aron rushes from pole position ahead of Gabriel Bortoleto and Isack Hadjar. The Poleman tries to keep its advantage at the first turn. Isack Hadjar passes Gabriel Bortoleto and takes 2nd position. The safety car enters the track before the end of the first round, Franco Colapinto is stopped in the 2nd sector. The safety car fades at the end of the 3rd round but it comes back quickly. Isack Hadjar takes the lead in the 8th round of the race. The French will keep his head after the waltz of stops at the stands. He won the main race ahead of Gabriel Bortoleto and Jak Crawford.

Spa-Francorchamps circuit

The Belgian circuit, with a length of 7.004 km, is made up of 19 turns. Complete and demanding circuit, it has 2 DRS zones, and therefore 2 detections. The first detection is done between turns 1 and 2, the DRS zone was on the long straight line between turns 4 and 5. The second detection zone is located before turn 19 and the DRS can be deployed between turn 19 and the first turn.

The FIA F3 drivers will perform 12 laps for the Sprint race and 15 laps for the main race. The FIA F2 drivers will have 18 laps in the sprint race and 25 laps in the main race.

The point on rankings

Campos Racing takes the lead in the ranking of FIA F3 teams. With 209 points, it is ahead of 2 small points the Trident team. MP Motorsport is still 3rd with 160 points on the clock. Rafael Camara continues his head adventure in the pilot ranking, despite an English weekend bordering on the catastrophic. The Trident pilot has 27 points ahead of his pursuer, Tim Tramnitz and 19 on Nikola Tsolov. Théophile Naël is 6th in the ranking just ahead of Alessandro Giusti. Mari Boya, thanks to his excellent result in Silverstone, dates back to 4th place.

Campos Racing maintains its advantage at the top of the ranking of FIA F2 teams. With 153 points, it is ahead of the Dams team now 2nd. Hitech went back to 3rd place with only 12 points behind Campos. Richard Verschoor retains the head of the pilot ranking after a half-tone English weekend. Unlike Jak Crawford who makes a good in the ranking to be now 6 points from the leader. The Dams driver takes the benefits of his main race victory in Silverstone. Alex Dunne regains the hair of the beast with his 2nd place in Silverstone and his 3rd place in the ranking. The former championship leader is 14 points behind Richard Verschoor. Victor Martins is 9th in the standings.
