The author of the message found in a bottle on the island of Anticosti has been identified: it is Alycia Tremblay, a resident of the Côte-de-Beaupré from the Malbaie. It appeared after the call launched by Mission 1000 tonnes and confided in the Charlevoisien.
When Alycia Tremblay threw this bottle in the river from Saint-Siméon beach in 2009, she was far from suspecting that she would resurface sixteen years later … on the banks of the island of Anticosti.
“Sunday morning, I woke up with a message from my aunt. As soon as I saw the publication, I immediately recognized my bottle, ”says the young woman.
Alder at the time, Alycia had written a short message before slipping it into a bottle, with the help of his grandmother. “I gave it vaguely. I knew I did it. I believe that I wanted to reproduce what I had seen in a film or in a book, “said the latter plunging back into her childhood memories.
It was the Mission 1000 ton organization that discovered the bottle on an anticosti beach, then launched a call to everyone on social networks. The publication has been shared hundreds of times. “I received messages all day. It was a bit crazy. I saw the photo passing everywhere on Facebook. It made me laugh, ”she adds.
Alycia has since communicated to the organization via Messenger. She hopes to meet the members of the team during their passage in Charlevoix in August, as part of the Saint-Laurent expedition.
“I did not know Mission 1000 tonnes, but I am really happy to have discovered them. It is a very nice initiative. If I can contribute, it will be with great pleasure. »»
