Based on the head of main service – brand marketing – Quebec, the brand’s marketing head – Quebec is responsible for the development, management and daily implementation of brand strategy and annual marketing plans for the Quebec market.

More specifically, the person who occupies this position affects multiple facets of marketing in order to increase the affinity to the brand and its relevance on a provincial scale. This is achieved through the development of integrated, high -level marketing programs, based on strategic ideas, which promote a positive perception and commitment to the brand in Quebec and which, ultimately, make it possible to achieve the Air Canada business objectives. This position requires a manager who focuses on the results, which knows all aspects of the brand’s marketing and who has in -depth knowledge of Quebec culture and the French language.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of annual brand marketing plans in order to generate a positive feeling with regard to the brand and commitment to the Quebec market.
  • Manage and coordinate the deployment of integrated multichannel marketing initiatives with excellence, by taking advantage of the media, acquired and paid, as well as other marketing levers, including strategic partnerships, sponsorships, experiential marketing, content marketing and public relations.
  • Participate in the identification, evaluation and establishment of brand partnerships and commandity opportunities specific to Quebec in order to increase relevance and achieve the brand’s objectives in the province. The functions also include the development and implementation of related marketing programs and the integration of the brand in accordance with the agreements with other parties. Direct internal and external partners in the development of brand content, creative equipment and media campaigns designed for the Quebec market.
  • Coordinate the process of planning and execution of campaigns, including post-campaign analysis, in order to ensure compliance with deadlines, resource planning and visibility in our channels, all with high level execution.
  • Ensure alignment and complementarity between the brand strategy for Quebec and the national brand strategy by collaborating closely with the various brand teams.
  • Manage budgets linked to projects, including the issue of purchase orders, purchasing authorizations, invoicing and budget rapprochement.
  • Take into account the research carried out with consumers and commercial data and industry in order to define the objectives, establish a measurement plan and ensure the monitoring and presentation of campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the other stakeholders in the Quebec strategy and other business units in order to identify opportunities and maximize the benefits of our collective efforts.
  • Establish solid, interfunctional and cooperative labor relations with other teams involved in brand marketing initiatives in Quebec (e.g., teams of partnerships and national events, sales and business development, relations with communities, Air Canada Foundation, line marketing).
  • Thinking strategically and creative to bring innovative ideas and implement best practices, based on industry trends.
  • Provide support to the head of main service – brand marketing – Quebec, if necessary.

Qualifications

  • University diploma with specialization in marketing, communication or business.
  • From three to five years old, or more, of professional experience in marketing or in a related field (previous professional experience in the air transport or travel sector, an asset).
  • In -depth knowledge of all aspects of brand marketing and communication, including brand partnerships, emerging digital channels and social media.
  • Mastering the management process of multichannel campaigns, including the drafting of briefs, the coordination of campaign development (creation, media plan), deployment as well as post-campaign analysis.
  • In -depth knowledge of Quebec culture and the French language.
  • Higher skills for analysis and problem solving, with an intellectual and analytical rigor demonstrated to resolve a wide range of marketing issues. A sharp sense of detail is essential.
  • Skills marked for oral and written communication, and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Great motivation to succeed with dynamism and enthusiasm.
  • Autonomy and great sense of organization, with the capacity to deliver quality work in an environment constantly evolving, and a deep desire to show initiative and assume responsibility for your work.
  • Willingness to work in an agile and constantly evolving environment where the volume of activities is high, within a highly efficient team and results focused on.
  • Interest marked for brand -related communications and marketing and experience in this area in order to ensure an understanding and adequate use of the brand’s positioning and guidelines.
  • Excellent creative assessment and design capacities.
  • Skills to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and interfunctional teams.
  • Master of the Office suite of Microsoft (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
