The 2025 edition of the Hopman Cup returned its verdict this Sunday in Bari.
Canada and Italy clashed in the final, two nations that had never hit this competition stadium until then.
After having crushed competition in his group by beating Spain and Greece without losing a single set, Canada took the best in this final after the mixed double. Bianca Andreescu had launched her team perfectly by winning 6-2, 6-3 against Lucia Bronzetti, but Félix Auger-Aliassime then bowed against Flavio Cobolli (6-7, 7-5, 10-8) while he was leading 7-6, 4-1.
The two nations being tied, the players returned to the court to determine the winner of the event. It was ultimately Andreescu and Auger-Aliassime who raised the trophy by beating Bronzetti and Cobolli during the mixed double (6-3, 6-3).
Canada is now part of the Hopman Cup list. As a reminder, the exhibition did not play last year following the Olympic Games. Croatia, eliminated in the group phase this year, was the title holder of the title.
