Canton of Neuchâtel: A motorist flashed at 192 km/h on the Valangin bridge
The facts occurred Thursday evening. The Portuguese driver will be the subject of a criminal denunciation.

The driver was intercepted soon after by a gendarmerie patrol in the roundabout of Bas-du Raymond. He was taken to the Neuchâtel police premises, where he was formally heard by the traffic police gendarmes.
It is a Portuguese national in his forties, domiciled in the Neuchâtel mountains. The interested party will be the subject of a criminal denunciation. He faces a private sentence of freedom ranging from one to four years, as well as a two -year driving prohibition, the Neuchâtel police said in a statement.
Faced with the worrying increase in serious trafficking offenses and traffic accidents, the Neuchâtel police will continue their speed checks throughout the summer period. It also reminds all of the road users their individual responsibility in compliance with speed limitations, in the interest of public security.
