The injured were transported to Italian hospitals between Udine and Gorizia, the Italian news agency Ansa said on Sunday. On the other hand, it underlines that the collision, whose cause is not known, took place in Slovenian territory, but that, under the effect of the shock, the cars found themselves on the other side of the border.
It was thus the Italian aid that took care of the injured. A helicopter, a medical car, two ambulances, firefighters and the police intervened on the scene. The authorities of the two countries have opened an investigation.
