In view of the municipal elections, the members of the Vaud alliance have all confirmed their wish to encourage apparents of lists and common strategies between the three parties. The new president will proactively support this approach, wrote the Vaud alliance Wednesday in his press release.
Kevin Grangier comes directly into office. The former president of the UDC Vaud takes up the function of the hands of his predecessor, the PLR Marc-Olivier Buffat, who has run the alliance since 2022.
For the record, the Vaudoise alliance had emerged victorious from the cantonal elections of 2022. The right had been able to take over the majority from the Vaud government thanks to the election of the State Councilors Christelle Luisier, Isabelle Moret, Frédéric Borloz (all PLR) and Valérie Dittli (center).
The coalition had had a second electoral success during the election of Pascal Broulis on the Council of States in 2023, the press release said. For the national one, only the PLR and the UDC were related, the center having preferred to unite with the evangelical party and the free.
