Sunflowers on a green background

It is a green cord with yellow sunflowers to put around the neck. It is also known as the English name of Sunflower Lanyard and is intended for people with disabilities such as autism, attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity, or Parkinson’s disease. He must point out that the person who wears it may need more patience, respect or support, for example when checking tickets.

First, 10,000 cords are available. SBBs have not yet placed a new order, specifies the spokesperson. In autumn, they will make a “detailed assessment” to decide the continuation. The SBB spent 25,000 francs on the purchase of the cords.

Political interventions concerning sunflower cords are pending in the city of Zurich and in the canton of Basel-Ville. They ask to examine whether the “Sunflower-Lanyard” system could be introduced not only to SBB, but also for example in administration or schools.
