“As we do not know,” replied the president of the Montreal section of the Canadian Public Service Union connected to Air Canada, Natasha Stea, in an interview at the microphone of Alexandre Dubé, to Qub Radio and Télé, broadcast simultaneously at 99.5 FM Montreal on Wednesday.

Despite the evocative vote, this does not mean that the Air Canada on -board agents will trigger a strike.

However, if no agreement is made with the employer, workers could file a strike notice 72 hours at the earliest on August 16, due to a buffer period established until this date.

“Ideal, that would be that we are able to settle this, that everyone can continue to go [en] vacation. We want to continue working too, we love our job, ”said Ms. Stea.

Discussions have been underway since last December with Air Canada and on -board agents wish to return to the negotiating table as quickly as possible before August 16.

“It’s been still time to go to work on this contract with the employer. We hope that we are able to arrive at an agreement, ”she added.
