The 45th edition of La Polynormande is competing for this weekend, Sunday August 17, 2025. The race will be 168.9 km long between Avranches and Saint-Martin-de-Landelles, on an unchanged course compared to the previous editions.
After the traditional departure Place Carnot at 12 noon, the runners will travel 168.9 km under the summer heat since the weather forecasts indicate 29 ° C at the height of the day. Polynormande, a wear race which often smiles at the daring, and the Normans since there are five to have won it over the last thirteen editions (Lapeira, Cosnefroy, Gougeard, Delaplace and Hurel).
The Manchois Paul Lapeira (Décathlon AG2R) is also the title holder, he will try to be the first runner to win the event twice in a row. At the time of writing these lines, the teams have not yet completely revealed their selections, but we already know that Valentin Madouas (Groupama-FDJ), Anthony Delaplace (Arkéa B&B Hotels), Victor Lafay and Nicolas Prodhomme (Décathlon Ag2r La Mondiale), Valentin Ferron (Cofidis) or Pierre Latour (Totalenergies) are planned on the start line.
For the first time, France Télévisions will broadcast the polynormande live as part of a collaboration with the National Cycling League. Please note, the race will not be seen on television but on the France.TV platform and on the France 3 Normandy website.
