Daily bulletin of pollen concentrations in France for this Thursday, August 14

Today, the weather conditions continue to strongly influence the distribution of pollens in France.

The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Grand Est, Hauts-de-France, Normandy, New Aquitaine, Occitanie, Pays de la Loire and Île-de-France level of concentration of very high levels of very high grasses (index 5). Grasses are currently the most allergenic species and represent a significant risk for sensitive people. Although thunderstorms can temporarily weigh down humidity and reduce the dispersion of pollens, the allergic risk remains high in these regions.

On the other hand, Corsica and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region show levels of concentration of slightly lower grass pollens (index 3), although still worrying. The Pollens of Ambroisie, with an index of 4 in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, also constitute an important threat to allergies.

To alleviate the effects of allergies, sensitive people are advised to avoid outdoor activities, especially in the middle of the day when the pollinic concentrations are at their maximum. Close the windows during pollen peaks and use an air purifier inside. In the event of travel, wear sunglasses to protect your eyes and change clothes when you get home to avoid introducing pollens into your living space.

Stay informed of pollinant and meteorological forecasts to adjust your activities accordingly and consult a health professional if you have severe allergic symptoms.
