Death of an out-of-service soldier in Clermont-Ferrand: a suspect, recurrent, prosecuted for murder

The suspect had been arrested shortly after the fact. A man suspected of having died fatally an out-of-service soldier on Friday and injured his colleague during a brawl in Clermont-Ferrand, was charged for murder and attempted murder on Saturday, we learned on Sunday from the prosecution.

He had been arrested with another man of the same age who was indicted for “aggravated violence”. The two men were placed in pre -trial detention, according to the same source at AFP.

Already sentenced in 2021 to Moulins when he was a minor for “violence in a meeting who led to death without intention to give it”, the man suspected of having wore the stabbing faces the criminal imprisonment in perpetuity “because of his recurrence”, specified the prosecution.

“High emotion”

The brawl on a background of alcohol had taken place in the night from Thursday to Friday after a nightclub before “degenerate”, according to the same source to AFP.

The victims, touched in the stomach, had been immediately taken care of with a vital prognosis committed for the 27 -year -old soldier who died on Friday evening as a result of his injuries. His 23 -year -old colleague is still hospitalized but his days are not in danger.

The Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu had expressed his “strong emotion” on Saturday on X, after the death of Corporal-Chief Kévin Amodru, which belonged to the 92nd Infantry Regiment of Clermont-Ferrand, by presenting its condolences to the relatives and the “brothers in arms” of the disappeared.
