What to know
This Monday, July 28, the Peloton du Tour de France women 2025 rushes from Gacilly for a final day in Brittany before leaving the region towards Angers. On paper, this 3ᵉ stage of 162 kilometers is announced more calm than the previous two, but the rolling profile could well lend to a fast and nervous race, especially when approaching the final sprint.
The fictitious start of this 3ᵉ stage will be given at 1:50 p.m. at La Gacilly, before a real departure scheduled five minutes later, at 1:55 p.m. The television retransmission will start at 3:35 p.m. on France.TV, to follow live the last part of the race until the arrival estimated around 5:43 p.m. in Angers.
The journey of the day has only one difficult difficulty, the Côte de la Richardière, and seems promised to the resistant sprinters. After two lively days, some teams will want to regain control.
Among the sprinters: the Dutchman Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx – Protime), reigning European champion, is a big favorite for a first massive sprint in Angers. However, she will have to deal with the competition from the Italian Elisa Balsamo (Lidl-Trek), Ally Wollaston (FDJ-Suez) or Elisa Longo Borghini (Uae Team Adq). Marianne Vos (Visma – Lease A Bike), relegated to the general, could also try to resume the yellow jersey in Kim Le Court, the first African to be holder.
Arrival 3ᵉ in Quimper, Kim Le Court (AG Insurance – Soudal) took hold of the yellow jersey.
A strong image for this 4ᵉ edition. Behind her, Demi Vollering and Pauline Ferrand-Prévot complete the provisional podium. The general remains very tight before the first real mountain stages.
On the French side, Maëva Squiban has once again made an impression. Combative, offensive, she received the prize for combativeness yesterday, the second consecutive for a Breton by that of Marie Le Net in Plumelec. Even today, looks will be turned to them and on Cédrine Kerbaol, while the peloton is about to leave their native region. Guaranteed atmosphere on the roads of this last Breton dance.
