The success rate in the 2025 baccalaureate in Algeria recorded a decline this year compared to 2024, following the results revealed this Sunday, July 20 by the Minister of National Education Mohamed Seghir Sadaoui. The wilaya of Tizi-Ouzou has kept its first place which it has occupied each year for 17 years.
The success rate in BAC 2025 is 51.57 %, down 7 points compared to the past year when the rate recorded was 58.28 %, 50.63 % in 2023 and 58.75 % in 2022. The success rate announced by the Minister of National Education concerns only school candidates.
In total, 367,122 students successfully examined 878,873 candidates, including 1754 with the mention “excellent« , 24 732 »Alright« et 42 721 »GOOD“According to the minister, high schools obtained a success rate of 100 %.
BAC 2025 in Algeria: Tizi-Ouzou in mind with 62.83 %
By wilaya, Tizi-Ouzou remained unbeatable, arriving first nationally with a success rate of 62.83 %. Tizi-Ouzou is closely followed by the wilaya of Relizane which recorded a success rate of 62.09%. The minister did not reveal the rest of the classification by wilayas. He said the success rate at the Paris International Algerian School is 80 %.
The wilaya of Tizi-Ouzou therefore confirms its status as a model, recording each year, for 17 years, the best success rates on a national scale at the various school exams. This year, she also came to the lead in the BEM exam with a rate of 73.69 %.
Despite the decrease in the general rate, this year’s baccalaureate examination has recorded the best individual average since independence, 19.70/20. It was obtained by Raounak Zani from the wilaya of Souk Ahras. Yahiaoui Malak, from Mascara, obtained second national place (19.52), ex-aequo with Kamel Nardjess from Algiers. Special mention therefore for girls who occupy the first three places at the national level.
Also note the good performance of the nation’s cadet schools that recorded a success rate of 98.16 %.
