On August 9, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the intercultural festival Mas Latinos will be held in downtown Coaticook. The event aims to be unusual and invites people from all walks of life to participate. Regardless of your nationality, whether you are a resident, a tourist or a foreign worker, the objective is to meet and discover the traditions of the world. We met the director of the party, Mr. Andres Ramirez, who answers our questions to know everything about this Saturday’s event!
First, what will happen at the festival this year? Here is the program:
The event will take place in the city center for its third edition, since it will be organized in partnership with the Organization Rues Main and its Return to School, rather than in Parc Laurence as in previous years.
What are the cultures and nationalities represented when talking about “Latinos”?
The festival also welcomes Haitian, Senegalese and African cultures because it wants to be international. The party attracts an increasing number of participants from all walks of life.
Foreign workers represent the large part of people who usually appear as visitors.
Why did you choose to establish the Festival in Coaticook rather than in another city?
The organization of Sherbrooke specifies that it is the only festival of this kind in Quebec.
The director of the event would like to thank the Coaticook community for its warm welcome and encourages everyone to come in large numbers.
