EVO France, the Combat Games competition, will be back in 2026

While the first edition must be held from October 10 to 12, 2025, the organizers of the EVO announced a return to France from 2026.

One competition can hide another. From October 10 to 12, 2025, France will host Evo France in Nice France, a famous combat video game tournament. This is a first for France, where the pool of players of “Versus Fighting” is particularly important.

But while the 2025 edition has not yet been held, the organizers of the EVO have already announced that there would be a 2026 edition, still in Nice, within the Palais des Expositions. The event is produced by Webedia, publisher of several websites such as Jeuxvideo.com and Allociné, but which is also the organizer of many recognized tournaments on the Esportive scene, including the French League of League of Legends.

France, destination of ESPORT

“It is with immense satisfaction that we announce the return of the EVO in 2026, here, in Nice”, welcomed Christian Estrosi, the mayor of the city, “this loyalty is fully part of our ambition to make our city a strong place in esport in Europe.”

It is also a long -term bet for the city, allowing Nice to become a “4 -season destination”, when it was so far favored by summer vacationers. For the EVO 2025 edition, 65 countries will be represented through video game athletes who will fight on games like Mortal Kombat 1, Tekken et Street Fighter. The organizers also announce an edition “Bounding registration records”.

The EVO in France confirms the good dynamic of the country on the Esport scene. The President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, has personally involved so that more tournaments related to global competition in the sector were organized in France.
