Exhibition of photographs in farm around Chasseral

An exhibition, called “Chasseral – Views from afar”, will be visible in eleven farm of the Chasseral Regional Park, from August 21 to October 31. Ten events will support the event to launch reflections on the future of this emblematic summit.

(Keystone-ATS) “The eight volunteer photographers, members of the photographic observatory of the Chasseral Park landscape, have chosen remote views of the summit, accessible via pedestrian paths. Kinds of natural belvederes from which everyone can discover a remarkable panorama of hunting and live a different experience with this massif, “said the Chasseral Regional Park on Monday.

In addition to this exhibition, the park will ensure ten events at the farm planned for ten events to open dialogue on the future of hunting. Stories and anecdotes on the life of farm, pastoral cinema, market debates or nature sites will be offered.

Those present during these activities will be able to express their ideas, desires and opinions on the future of Chasseral. A table set and an ideas will be made available. These opinions will be analyzed during the winter.

Growing number of visitors

This exhibition and the accompanying permanence are part of the “Chasseral Objectif” project, led by the Chasseral Regional Park under the aegis of the Grand Chasseral Foundation, in partnership with Bernese Jura. Bien, Grand Chasseral Tourisme and the main municipalities concerned. “This approach intends in the long term to respond to growing concerns on the part of the municipalities and the Grand Chasseral region,” read the press release.

At the heart of the challenges: the reception of an increasing number of visitors, the conciliation of uses between agriculture and tourism, the preservation of the natural and landscape qualities of the place, the identity of the site and its originality and its governance.
