Patrick Sébastien has been at the heart of a controversy since the end of July.

Festival – A gesture that still does not pass. While the host Patrick Sébastien was to perform in concert on August 20, 2025 next on the Motte-du-Dire stadium (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence), it will ultimately not be.

In question, the controversy that has touched the host since the end of July. During a concert in a naturist campsite on July 22 at Cap d’Agde (Hérault), the 71 -year -old singer seems to receive a blowjob from a spectator. Simulated or not – amateur videos published on social networks do not allow it to be determined, the scene shocked a good part of the public, made up of families with children.

Requested by MediapartPatrick Sébastien’s lawyer assures that no sexual act has been carried out. According to Me Robin Binsard, it was a scene “Mimede” and “disputes any sexual behavior”. And to reject the responsibility of the sequence on the spectator: “Mr. Patrick Sébastien was strongly surprised by the behavior of this woman and did not fail to put an end to this staging. »»

This controversy embarrassments of many event organizers, including the Motte-du-Daire festival committee, which met on Monday, August 4 and canceled the concert. Friend of the singer and chairman of the committee, Jean-Louis Recrosio had spoken to Provence July 31: ” This is not what we needed and it is not the image we want to give of this festive event for all public ”.

This cancellation is not an isolated case for the former host, who was also to perform at the theater festival “Humor and dance” de Roquebrune-Cap-Martin (Alpes-Maritimes), Friday August 8. This performance will never take place, as revealed by our colleagues from BFMTV. Technical and logistical reasons were however put forward by its organizer, Chantal Martino. The organizers promised the full reimbursement of tickets while Patrick Sébastien was to be the godfather of his 50th edition.

Since the Cap d’Agde controversy, the singer and humorist has performed at the Alsace Wine Fair in Colmar, Sunday, August 3.
