France champions delays in air transport

Ryanair publishes his “delays league” in July, which shows that France followed from Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom and Greece are among the worst countries in matters of ATC delays

The Company calls on the European Commission and governments to emergency measures to reform their failing air traffic services (ATC) due to their inability to ensure sufficient workforce and effective management.

This call comes as Ryanair publishes his “delays league” in July, which shows that France, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom and Greece are among the worst countries in matters of ATC delays, because of their inability to ensure sufficient workforce and effective management.

These ATC delays among the most important contrast with the significantly superior quality of services in countries such as Ireland, Slovakia, Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium, where effective management and sufficient staff have made it possible to reduce delays at least this year. If these states manage to manage properly and provide their ATC services with staff to limit delays, Why could passengers not expect the same level of service on the part of ATC services, which is well funded, but poorly managed, in France, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom and Greece?

Ryanair has long been campaigning for European reform to ensure that ATC service providers are properly equipped with personnel, But the delays related to the great atc state services are constantly getting worse. Ryanair calls on all passengers to go to the “Air Traffic Control Ruined Your Flight” web page (air traffic control has spoiled your flight) and to demand from their national transport ministers as well as the European Commission that they urgently take the necessary measures to correctly endow the national personnel services with personnel, in order to eliminate 90 % of delays related to air traffic control.

Michael O’Leary from Ryanair says: ” One more month has passed, and the least efficient air traffic control services-in France, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom and Greece-continue to impose delays, which could be avoidable, thousands of Ryanair flights and millions of Ryanair passengers, due to poor management and an underemployed staff. However, neither the European Commission nor the national transport ministers responsible for these failing services took the slightest measure to remedy them. »

Conversely, countries like Ireland, Slovakia, Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium offer the most effective air traffic control services, proving that a well-managed ATC service and properly endowed with personnel is not only possible, but already a reality in many EU member states. So why do France, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom and Greece not do so much? The answer is simple: they could, but As protected and complacent state monopolies, they have no interest in worrying about delays or passengers.

It is unacceptable that passengers and airlines, who work hard, continue to Paying exorbitant fees for ATC services of poor quality. Ryanair calls the European Commission as well as the Ministers of Transport of France, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom and Greece to act immediately: recruit more air controllers, eliminate these delays and offer an effective ATC service, as their citizens await. Ryanair calls on passengers to join his campaign by visiting the “Air Traffic Control Ruined Your Flight” page and requiring real reform of Failive ATC suppliers in France, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom and Greece.
