France: Death of Jacques Martial, actor seen in the Navarro series
The 69 -year -old actor, who died on August 13, was also known to be Anne Hidalgo’s assistant at the Paris City Hall.

Before entering politics, he had distinguished himself on the screens, especially in the series “Navarro”, in which he played for 96 episodes the Bain-Marie inspector. He also regularly lent his voice to many actors such as Wesley Snipes, especially during his first films, twenty Rhames or Denzel Washington.
Long engaged in cultural life, he had led, from 2006 to 2015, the public establishment of the Park and the Grande Halle de la Villette, in Paris. In 2020, he entered the Council of Paris as elected representative of the 13th arrondissement, then became, two years later, one of Anne Hidalgo’s assistants.
On WhatsApp, the mayor of Paris paid him a tribute. “This morning, I cry a dear, faithful, generous and sensitive friend who taught me so much,” she said, also welcoming her role in the creation of emblematic places and monuments such as the statue of solitude, the Toussaint Louverture garden or the statue of Paulette Nardal. Several French personalities also left him a message on social networks.
