France Identity becomes (finally) easier to use, and it changes everything

Since its launch, the France Identity application has established itself as an essential tool for those who wish to dematerialize their official papers. Initially designed to accommodate the new digital identity card, it now hosts a panoply of documents: driving license, gray card, insurance certificate, and even vital card, via a dedicated application.

This detail that will change everything

The application has further innovated this week, with the introduction of a notification center. A long -standing functionality, which promises to facilitate its use. Now, there is a notification center, accessible from a bell -shaped icon, at the top right of the interface. If this innovation is not a technical revolutionary, it nevertheless comes to fill one of the biggest shortcomings of the old version.

Concretely, the system will immediately inform the user when an action will be required: renewal of an expired connection to FranceConnect, addition or update of a document, or even reception of a dematerialized certificate. Where experience could suffer from a certain vagueness, the centralization of notifications within a dedicated tab allows you to visualize at a glance the list of actions to be carried out.

Facilitate use, and adoption of the application

The usefulness of the notification center should be illustrated during daily administrative situations: road control, medical visit, online declaration. Instead of rummaging through the menus or waiting for a system alert, the user is now guided step by step, with the guarantee of not missing anything important. This optimization is discreet, but strategic, for an application whose vocation is precisely to simplify the procedures with online administrative services.

This new device also helps to remedy the sometimes unexpected expiration of the FranceConnect connection without an identity card, which could hitherto disrupt access to certain official sites. If this is the case, the application warns the user via the notification center and offers a button “Renew my connection“, Which avoids unpleasant surprises.

Faced with an increasing digitization of public services, France Identity has no choice but to put itself in tune, without sacrificing administrative security. This step more in the evolution of France Identity marks an additional step towards the democratization of the all -dematerialized system. The approach prepares the field for even more integrated services. It is still necessary to ensure Internet users of the reliability of the tools deployed.
