The University of Friborg has welcomed a new faculty devoted to teachers. Friborg thus becomes the only Swiss canton where the training of teachers is provided by a university faculty. This continuity guarantees that institutional regrouping does not lead to a “academization” of training. while strengthening the continuing education of the teaching staff of the canton.
