The Canadian armed forces flew over the Gaza strip aboard a CC-30J Hercules plane.

Prime Minister Mark Carney declared in a publication on social media that Canada “intensifies its efforts” with its international partners to develop a peace plan and guarantee that the aid reaches the Palestinians.

Earlier this week, Carney had published a video showing cargoes of Canadian aid delivered to Gaza by Jordanian military aircraft.

Israel has softened the restrictions on the delivery of food and medication to the Palestinian enclave, in response to the international outcry aroused by famine in the territory.

Last Wednesday, Carney spoke of Israeli aid restrictions and the need to preserve the path to a two -state solution to justify Canada’s decision to officially recognize a state of Palestine.
