A fire broke out in the space of a residence in renovation on Thursday on rue des Platebières, in the Ferland Park sector.
Around 2 p.m., the flames were under control, but the firefighters were still on the scene. The rue des Plassbières was closed to traffic in the fire area.
A first call was housed for firefighters around 10 a.m. Citting work on the roof has triggered a fire.
Upon arrival, the firefighters extinguished the fire and inspected to ensure that there were no other fires before leaving.
They were finally recalled on the scene, after their departure, for smoke from another place.
By defeating the structure more, the firefighters were able to identify three independent hot spots from each other.
“This is not a single fire that has spread, but three different sources,” said Joël Sauvé, director of the fire service in the city of Sept-Îles.
The general fire alarm means that all firefighters who are not in duty and available to help those already on site are required. They can also ensure a presence for other calls that could occur in the territory at the same time.
This was also the case on Thursday afternoon, when the firefighters were called for two other alarms, one in Moisie, and the other on rue Noël. In both cases, the alerts were ultimately unfounded.
