On the artificial intelligence side, Google Translation is not left behind by the Mountain View firm. This year, the application has gained improvements on the real -time translation side for example and a new very useful button, but above all, Gemini was also invited, offering many new features.

But this time, Google translation is attacking (again) in DuolingoOne of the pillars of foreign language learning – which has added a new “language” to its application this year. Indeed, Google Translation would soon integrate elements of play like the iconic Green owl.

Google translation competition directly Duolingo with this update

Google and Duolingo, it’s a Long history of competition. Already in 2021, the Mountain View firm presented at its conference I/O an AI, Lamda, with which it was possible to converse. Its objective was to integrate it into a learning tool for foreign languages with interactive quizs. This project which seemed to be dead letters could see the day, in a different form. According to our colleagues from CNET, Android Police recently published a report indicating that Google Translation Could soon offer unpublished AI features and a fun training mode – at the Duolingo, therefore.

Indeed, AssembleDebug has spotted in the latest version of the app (9.15.114) potential changes in the user interface: The appearance of an AI model selectorFast and advanced. Quick mode could be used for simple and instant translations, such as that of a menu. And the advanced one could involve Gemini to analyze in depth the context of a conversation. Still according to this report, a practical mode could be introduced with this update in order to make learning foreign languages more fun.

These features would be part of a broader context of development of linguistic interpretation in Googlesuch as the interpreter mode introduced with the launch of the Pixel Fold in 2023, self-dislocating technology on Youtube, or the demonstration this year, during the Google I/O conference, an instant translation with the Android XR glasses.
