Hanging outside a quick train, a man survives

In Austria, a big recklessness fortunately did not turn into drama. A man survived after hanging on Saturday evening outside a quick train in which he was able to ride after an emergency stop, the Austrian national railway company Öbb said on Sunday.

The man had dropped from the train for a cigarette break on the quay when he left for Sankt Pölten, west of Vienna, said Öbb Herbert Hofer spokesperson. The Railjet train, which linked Zurich to the Austrian capital, left Sankt Pölten at the scheduled time, but arrived in Vienna with seven minutes late, he said.

An “irresponsible” act

Citing a passenger on board, the Austrian tabloid Today reported that the man, who had come down to smoke on the platform, jumped into space between two cars after the train started to restart. “It is irresponsible, this kind of thing usually ends up causing someone’s death,” castigated Herbert Hofer.

The man, a 24 -year -old Algerian, typed with windows to attract attention, according to Todaywhich led the driver of the train to activate the emergency brake. Then the train staff were able to raise it on board. The reckless passenger was taken by police after the train arrived at Meidling station in Vienna.
