He publishes on YouTube the interrogation of a “Displayer”, which is then stabbed and tortured behind bars

A criminal received 24 months in prison for having repeatedly broadcast the interrogation of a man who collaborated with the police, which earned him to be stabbed and tortured in detention.

“We must not minimize the danger that an imprisoned witness which may have been described as” duty -of -the -art “by its peers,” recently the Rosemarie Millar, at the Gatineau courthouse recently.

At the same time, the magistrate condemned Jason Stuart for “the serious consequences” that her crimes have engendered, which date back to 2021.

An inmate was then awaiting his trial in a qualified flight case. He was potentially testifying for the crown, against an accomplice.

Jason Stuart, who was in conflict with the inmate, sought to intimidate him to prevent him from taking the bar.

Thus, he published 14 times on YouTube extracts from a sworn video declaration he had made to the police. This could possibly be presented in evidence in court. The judgment does not specify how Stuart obtained a copy of the sequences.

Stuart has integrated into his publications the mention of “rat”, insults evoking betrayal in the interlope environment, as well as a rap song going in this sense.

The detainee never had to testify, because he and his accomplice recognized their guilt and received a prison sentence.

Real “hell”

Nevertheless, his stay in jail has become a real “hell”, describes the judgment.

Even before he formally started his sentence, he was stabbed and beaten by fellow prisoners.

Repeated moves to other establishments have not helped its cause.

The detainee “was attached, tortured, kidnapped and cut with blades in the face”, then stabbed again four times.

Among other things, the victim was sent to the Donnacona penitentiary.

Placed in a protective sector, it is now dragging heavy psychological sequelae. He tried to get his life out seven times.

“The situation would have been very different if the witness had not been detained. It would obviously have been freer to move and could have left the region, if necessary, “notes judge Rosemarie Millar.

Not a novice

Having had several troubles with the authorities in the past, Jason Stuart “is not a novice in the judicial system”, argues the magistrate.

The 34 -year -old man was therefore aware of “the perception of such testimony in the prison environment”.

He recognized his guilt in this file. According to a presentation report, Stuart has acted “out of a spirit of revenge at the witness”.
