Russian diplomacy Sergei Lavrov participated in a bilateral meeting in China with President Xi Jinping. Moreover, Russian press agencies Tass and Ria Novosti reported on Tuesday morning.

This interview took place within the framework of Mr. Lavrov’s participation in a meeting of foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (OCS), the same source said.

The OCS brings together 10 countries including China, Russia, Iran, India and Pakistan. It intends to counterbalance Western organizations and strengthen cooperation in terms of policy, security or even trade.

Among the subjects covered by the two officials were preparing a visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin in China during an OCS summit. Moscow reports.
