The American president thus referred to an advertisement of the automotive giant published last November and named “Copy Nothing” featuring actors from diversity, very bright colors as well as slogans as “screw with brilliance”.
“Jaguar made a seriously Woke advertising which is a total disaster,” Trump wrote on his network, Truth Social on Monday.
“Who would like to buy a Jaguar after seeing this scandalous advertisement?” he added.
The company’s advertising offensive had been launched following a vast process of revitalization of its brand, as part of which it notably replaced its famous feline logo by “Jaguar” written in letters.
The president also mentioned the decision last week of the CEO of Jaguar Land Rover, Adrian Mardell, to leave his post after 35 years working for the brand.
However, his departure would not be linked to any ideological positioning whatsoever, according to CNN.
The president also skinned Bud Light, of which an advertisement was also qualified as “Woke” in 2023.
He used these examples to defeat American Eagle as well as actress Sydney Sweeney, who are the subject of criticism for their advertising that makes a play on words with “jeans” and “genes”.
Following the support of Mr. Trump, the action of the clothing giant has also gone on the stock market.
In his publication on Truth Social, Donald Trump opposes the concept of “Woke” and that of Republican.
“Being Woke is for the losers, being a republican is what you should want to be,” he wrote.
Many American media reported in the past few days that the American actress has been recorded as a republican in the state of Florida.
