Thanks to simple victories of Bianca Andreescu and Félix Auger-Aliassime, Canada took the measure of Spain during its first duel of the Hopman Cup on Friday.

First, Andreescu easily took the measure of Marina Bassols in two expeditious rounds of 6-0 and 6-1 in just 50 minutes of play.
The Canadian won more than 80 % of her first bullets in service in addition to making three ASs.
For his part, Auger-Aliassime trimed a little harder against Roberto Bautista-Agut, but still disposed of his opponent in two rounds of 6-3 and 7-6 (7-3).
The 28th world racket has succeeded in eight aces against seven for its opponent who occupies the 54th row in the world.
The four players will still compete in a duplicate duel even if the stake of this match will have no impact on the result of the duel between the two nations.
Note that Canada will have an appointment with Greece this Saturday. This duel will be presented on TVA Sports 2 from 11:30 am.
